Gisteren ben ik naar de expositie van Andy Warhol en andere Pop-kunstenaars geweest in de Beurs van Berlage te Amsterdam. Ik kwam voor het eerst met Andy Warhol in aanraking tijdens de lessen kunstgeschiedenis op de middelbare school en ik vond hem en de hele pop-art beweging fantastisch: wat een spetterende kleuren en wat een geweldige vondst om gewone dingen zoals de beroemde Campbell’s soep etiket enorm uit te vergroten. Maar Andy heeft natuurlijk meer gemaakt. Hieronder een greep van wat er te zien is op de expositie, alle foto’s zijn gemaakt met mijn mobiele telefoon. Naast de vele zeefdrukken is er ook een indruk van zijn atelier te ervaren. De tentoonstelling is nog tot 30 september te zien.

Yesterday I went to the exhibition of Andy Warhol and other PopArtists in the Beurs of Berlage, Amsterdam. I first came into contact with Andy Warhol in the art history classes in high school and I loved him and the whole popart movement fantastic: they used such bright colours and what a fantastic find to enlarge every day labels like the very famous Campbell’s soup. But Andy made a lot more. Below is a glimpse of what we saw at the exhibition, all photos are taken with my cell phone. Next to the many screen prints, you can experience the feel of this studio. The exhibition is open until 30 September.
