Second BIG Assignment for MATS Bootcamp 2019

Salt and pepper shakers in the shape of old Amsterdam canal houses

The big assignment for March was to design a set of pepper and salt shakers. The mini assignment that preceeded this was to draw all kinds of pairs that belong together, like sun and moon, man and woman, woman and child, French fries and ketchup and so forth, without knowing what the big assignment was going to be. The sketches that I drew for the mini are not worth showing, so I’ll only post the final illustration. I wanted to keep it close to home, thought of my city and then this came out. I am very pleased with it and I think I could even offer it as a print.
