Ik had me eind vorig jaar al opgegeven, maar deze week is het echt begonnen: MATS bootcamp 2019 door Lilla Rogers! Haar bureau is een wereldberoemd art agency waar veel illustratoren en kunstenaars bij staan ingeschreven en dat ook online cursussen aanbiedt. In de cursus ‘MATS bootcamp’ geeft Lilla iedere week een kleine opdracht met aan het einde van de maand een grote. De online cursus duurt vier maanden, aan het einde van die periode heb je dan vier werkstukken voor je portfolio.
I already signed up at the end of last year, but this week it truly started: MATS bootcamp 2019 by Lilla Rogers! MATS is a world famous art agency which represents lots of illustrators and artists from around the world and which also offers online classes. For MATS bootcamp Lilla gives a mini assignment at the start of every week and at the end of the month a large one. The class takes up to four months and at the end of that period you will have four pieces for your portfolio.
De eerste mini opdracht voor mijn groep (er zijn er drie) was: Lelietjes-van-dalen in een door Lilla gegeven kleurenpalet en waarin gebruik is gemaakt van kleurpotloden. Kleurpotloden gebruik ik alleen als accent in mijn werk, dus dit was een beetje een uitdaging; maar hoe meer de week vorderde hoe meer ik de potloden gebruikte. Een prima eerste week dus!
The first mini assignment for my group (there are three groups) was: Lily-of-the-valley in a color palette given by Lilla and in which you use color pencils. I usually use color pencils only as accents in my work, so this was a bit of a challenge; but as the week
progressed I used the pencils more and more. So that was a great week!
