Vandaag mocht ik het afscheidssymposium en -rede fotograferen van VU-hoogleraar prof.dr. Kees van der Kooi aan de Faculteit Religie en Theologie. Het symposium was een feestelijke bijeenkomst met familie, vrienden, bekenden, (ex-)collega’s en veel sprekers.
Today I had the honour of photographing the farewell seminar and academic speech of VU professor Kees van der Kooi from the Faculty of Religion and Theology. The seminar was a festive gathering with family, friends, (ex) colleagues and lots of speakers.

Na het uitspreken van zijn oratie Een theologisch reisverslag werd hij tot zijn verrassing door burgemeester Naafs van de gemeente Utrechtse Heuvelrug koninklijk onderscheiden tot Officier in de Orde van Oranje Nassau. Lees meer op de VU-website.
After saying his official speech ‘A theological Travelogue’ he received the royal distinction of ‘Officer in the Order of Oranje Nassau’ from the mayor of his home town.
