NDSM: spontaneous photoshoot

Today I went to cafe Pllek in Amsterdam Noord with my friend V. The weather was lovely: pretty warm with lots of sunshine and we were in the mood for more water and space around us, so we took the ferry to the NDSM-wharfs. We had a tasty lunch at Pllek and we were daydreaming about giving up our jobs and starting a shop in artisanal handicraft, she with handmade flowers of fabric, I with my photographs and hand printed fabrics of which I would make clutches. We would produce high end products meant for tourists of about our age (beginning 50) who have money and who are willing to spend it on quality products. We had wonderful ideas over there in the sun.

After all that daydreaming we felt like walking a bit, the whole area is interesting to check out if you are ever in Amsterdam. There is an old NDSM wharf hall for example, in which a lot of workshops are located now, very nice to see. In the old hall there is not much left of its history, but there still is an old press, a lookout tower and lots and lots of chipped paint. A great location for a photoshoot, we thought. Now I only had my pocket camera on me, but that is better than nothing (is that a Dutch saying?). So, here a few photos of our spontaneous photoshoot, without any tools except my simple camera.
