Inspiration: pink beaches and waters

I have taken up a painting course two months ago, with oil paint that is. I could take over a collection of oil paints from my boyfriend K. with some wonderful colours, but I had no idea how to it. Since this Winter I have been experimenting with acrylics and watercolors, but oil paint is an entirely different matter.
The latest assignment from the course is to paint a beach with the use of atmospheric perspective in the sky and sea. That means for example that the colours of the sea are becoming less vibrant towards the distance and that the colours of the sky close by are different than further away. So I went browsing on Pinterest for suited beach photos as few of my own photos would fit this category and I stumbled upon a few amazing pink beaches. On Wikipedia I found that there are a few islands in the south of the Great Ocean with red choral beaches, mainly
originating from pipe organ choral that leaves orange-red to red-brown sediments. Domination of pink or orange unicellular creatures on some islands causes a light pink to orange hue of the sand. Wow, and aren’t the colours awesome?
