This week’s botanical pattern in the Slow Art Party was Orb. I don’t remember why Amy choose this word for this pattern, maybe it refers to the round shapes of the leaves.
First we wet our small paper pieces and added watercolour to it. After we had painted a pile of papers and the first ones were dry, we drew the pattern over the top of the paint.
I enjoyed overlapping the pattern as well as a single stem.
Here I added one of my small pieces, Amy calls them ‘inchies’, to another slow pattern Row in my sketchbook. I like the layered look.
