Earlier in May I wrote about making a journal out of a repurposed Flow Magazine. Well, I made another one and this time smaller in width as I wanted to make it fit in a Midori Traveller’s Notebook (TN).
It turned out to be another lovely journal adorned with ribbons and pieces of lace that I had left over from costume making.
This pink journal has 30 pages including the cover, eight pockets filed with tags, cards and clippings from the magazine, as well as lots of white space to journal, draw or paint on.
I also added a few fold-over pages as well as lots of illustrations and three embellished paperclips.
It is a bit of a nature-themed journal, filled with photos and illustrations from nature.
The tags are handmade from clippings out of the magazine and embellished with a golden ribbon.
In the centerfold you’ll find a beautiful illustration.
The front and back cover both have pockets which are filled with cut-outs from the magazine.
I’ve enjoyed working on these journals a lot, but it’s been taking up so much of my time that I am not sure if I am going to continue with this. I have so many magazines, it is undoable to make them all into journals. So, I will brood on a new plan.
