Earlier this month I was lucky to do a photo shoot with a very special man: Dhroeh Nankoe, singer and composer specialized in classical Indian music. He wanted some fresh and up-to-date images for his website.
As I don’t have my own photo studio, I usually don’t work that way, he organised a location for the photo shoot: the Chassé Hotel Amsterdam. The lobby proved to be a splendid backdrop, it fit perfectly with Dhroeh’s background.
As a singer in COVID-19 time, his income has dropped considerably. So we agreed to do the photo shoot time-for-time: we will exchange the time I invested in the shoot for something he can offer me, like meditating or chanting together or teaching me various pranayamas. I’ll reflect on what I would like.
