Inspiration: photographer Sacha Goldberger

Photographer Sacha Goldberger combined American pop culture icons with 16th century Flemisch paintings and that resulted in some refreshing images. Think Superman with a dreamy look and a pleated standing collar. When I saw it on the internet I was hooked, what a great project! The costumes, the light and the colour pallette, beautiful.
It took Sacha two years to complete the series ‘Super Flemish’ with a year-and-a-half for the preparation only.  Twelve people were involved with the make-up, hair and special effects. Five costume designers made outfits specifically for this occasion. The outcome is a fantastic series of images which can be seen in total on the website of Sacha.
