In de laatste editie van Flow magazine stuitte ik op een artikel over collagekunstenaar Nicola Kloosterman die onder de naam ohdecollage haar artistiek proces laat zien op Instagram. Ze maakt analoge collages van foto’s uit o.a. vintage- of tweedehandsboeken en tijdschriften die ze vindt bij kringloopwinkels, kofferbaksales e.d.. Ze knipt de beelden die haar aanspreken direct uit om ze los te maken uit hun context. De beelden archiveert ze in een grote doos.
In haar gecreëerde collages zijn kleur en ruimte belangrijk en dat zijn twee ingredienten die mij enorm aanspreken. Af en toe geeft ze ook workshops, check haar website voor data.

In the last edition of Flow magazine I came across an article on Dutch collage artist Nicola Kloosterman, who shows her artistic process on Instagram under the name of ohdecollage. She creates analogue collages from imagery found in vintage or second hand books and magazines she finds at trunk and garage sales. She immediately cuts out the images to her, to free them of their context and keeps them in a large box.
In her created images colour and space are important and those two ingredients are very appealing to me. She also gives workshops so every now and then. Check her website for dates.
