Yay, the toiletry bags from @fotofabrieknl arrived

Yay, the toiletry bags from @fotofabrieknl arrived today! It’s their newest textile item: you can have your own design or use one of their custom designs and have it printed on hoodies, cotton bags, t-shirts and of course cards, gift, etc. I thought these toiletry bags make prrefect art pouches to take art supplies with you. It’s a 100% organic cotton and it feels very soft.
I wanted an all-over pattern and not just a rectangle but I guess I’ll have to make that myself.
These can be purchased at our Christmas market on 13 December at @art_centre_aalsmeer .

She is ready to go into the world! Another negative painting in what is slowly begining to be a series of bold flowers. This time I added some stencilling in the background to mimick a tiled wall. I quite like the effect, don’t you?

Wanneer: zaterdag 3 oktober
tijd: 13.30-16.30 uur
waar: Art Centre Aalsmeer
prijs: EUR 45,00 pp

I made a whole lot of simple Gelliplate prints at the market in the Beurs van Berlage a couple of weeks ago and I was wondering what my next move was. Then I grabbed some stencils and acrylic markers and completely transformed the first print. I forgot to make a before shot, but if you slide to the left you’ll see some similar prints. The finished one is frightfully busy, but I love just the best!
What do you say, too busy?
I can see a teatowel with that print.

We are open! The Kunstroute (Open Studios) just started at the @art_centre_aalsmeer. About 60 artists will be present and you can wander from studio to studio to see what they are making and how they are making it. I’ll be drawing on some Gelli Plate prints that need some finer detail.
Hope to see you today or tomorrow!

A couple of pages from a handmade simple art journal made out of wipe-off sheets of paper. I added lots of patterns, doodles, paint smeares, stencilling and collage scraps that were kaying about.
When I’m not in the mood for a project I like to fill these kind of art journals, no pressure, anyghing goes, I’m just getting paint on paper. it’s very satisfying because it doesn’t have to be anyghing, become a framed piece or an example for a workshop. It’s just play and learning about colour and composition along the way.
How do you like to play and unwind?

Workshop Eenvoudige patronen schilderen in aquarel

Workshop Eenvoudige patronen schilderen in aquarel.

Tijd: 13.00-17.00 uur
Plaats: In mijn huisatelier te Amsterdam oud-west
Kosten: € 45,00 p.p.
Tickets: via Eventbrite, zie link in stories.

I ordered a couple of teatowels from the botanical

I ordered a couple of teatowels from the botanical design I made in May and they turned out gorgeous. A few will be gifted to friends and the rest I will keep for the Open Studios later this month.
I had them printed at @houseofufashionprinting on 100% cotton.
I am a happy girl!

Impression of yesterday’s market in the beautiful

Impression of yesterday’s market in the beautiful big hall of the @beursvanberlageofficial during their annual Open Day. It was fabulous! Friends and family came by as well as people that were interested in our work. We had engaging conversations, I gave Gelli plate demos and we were well taken care of by our host with plenty of drinks and bites during the day. I sold smaller pieces and gave away lots of flyers for my workshops.
A big thank you for all the people that made this happen!
