About me

Over the past few years, I’ve taken many photo walks, and I’ve always been happy to return. I want to share my joy and appreciation for the beauty of the everyday with others. We often tend to lose sight of the small, beautiful moments due to the rush of everyday life.
In 2011, I took my first steps on the path of Miksang Contemplative Photography, an art form rooted in Shambhala Buddhism. Contemplative or mindfulness photography focuses on observation, inner silence, and the appreciation of qualities. I’ve also taken various technical courses at De Fotovakschool and Fotogram. In 2012, I launched my first blog dAnielles flow, where I shared my experiences and inspiration.
In 2015, I started working freelance in photography alongside my regular job. Through my employer, I’ve since received quite a few assignments, which can be seen in the category of my blog. I’m available for portrait and reportage assignments. I also sell a selection of my photos.

Due to the short evenings and limited daylight, combined with spending so much time at the computer, I started drawing and painting in the spring of 2017. I felt the need to use my body more actively for art, not just to capture an image by pressing a button. This has since blossomed into a true passion. I’ve taken (and continue to take) numerous workshops and courses and love working with paint or pen. I work in several sketchbooks simultaneously, and the best part is creating my own art journals.
