Mid May I sold this original abstract floral painting to the co-worker of a friend of mine. The message from my friend came after I posted on IG that I had added this painting, and its sister, see below) to my online shop at Werk aan de Muur (or Art Heroes). She asked whether the original was for sale and of course it was. So her friend bought it after seeing the photograph.
We had to wait a little for the handing over of the painting because it was still hanging in an elderly home, together with 11 other original pieces of mine. But today my friend picked it up so she could give it to the new owner. I am sure she will find a good spot for it in her home.
The original painting is made on canvas board and framed in a simple frame which I painted in the same colour as the background of the painting.
Looking at its sister painting, I decided I am going to continue working on it. It lacks the contrast of the white vine and the painting is not balanced as it is rather empty on the left-hand side.
