I finally gathered the courage to dive into my old issues of Flow Magazine! A couple of years ago I made three journals and I was planning to make more, but other things got my attention and I needed a deadline to pick up where I left off: the Christmas market at Art Centre Aalsmeer on 14 December.
So far I finished up six journals. I found the inspiration of making these journals on the website of Lulu Laberlu, a.k.a. Estelle who makes lovely journals from old books and Flow Magazines.

I cut out all the pages from the magazines and chose which one I wanted to use. Those I folded into a signature and bound them with a simple pamphlet stitch in the spine. I added a piece of saree ribbon for closure.

Each journal is unique and contains the visuals of that particular issue.

No journal is the same.
I chose the most attractive image of an issue as the centre fold.

Each issue has multiple pockets which contain smaller bits of that issue.

If you would like to purchase one, you are invited to visit me in my studio in Art Centre Aalsmeer on 14 December. Hope to see you there!
