Gisteravond had ik de eer om een Iftar (Ramadanmaaltijd na zonsondergang) te fotograferen die gecombineerd was met de buluitreiking van alumni van de Ambtsopleiding Islamitische Geestelijke Verzorging. De avond werd georganiseerd door het CIT (Centrum voor Islamitische Theologie) ter gelegenheid van de gezegende maand Ramadan (maand van het vasten) om elkaar op te zoeken en de banden te versterken om wille van samenwerking, begrip en consolidatie van de menselijke broederschap in onze samenleving. Het bleek een bijzondere avond vanwege de uiteenlopende samenstelling van de bezoekers. Er was een korte Koranrecitatie, buluitreiking, korte lezingen van de alumni, een groepsgesprek over het thema diversiteit en natuurlijk, na zonsondergang, de Iftar zelf. Hieronder zijn wat beelden van de avond.
Last night I had the honour to capture an Iftar (post-fast breaking feast after sunset) which was combined with the graduation of alumni of the Islamic Spiritual Care program. The evening was organized by the Centre for Islamic Theology to the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan (month of fasting) to visit each other and to strenghten the bonds for the sake of cooperation, understanding and consolidation of the human brotherhood in our society. It proved a memorable evening due to the special composition of the visitors. On the program was a short recital from the Koran, graduation, short lectures by the alumni, group discussion about diversity and of cours, after sun down, the Iftar itself.
