De Yoku sessie Canto Ostinato van vorige week werd in een oude school in Amsterdam gegeven. Het gebouw word nu niet meer gebruikt als school, maar is omgezet in woonruimtes en ateliers. Nu woon ik zelf in een oud gebouw dat ooit bij een ziekenhuis hoorde, dus ik herken de sfeer, maar in dit pand waren veel oude elementen intact gebleven zoals deze badkamer. Deze is nog in gebruik en hoort bij de pianist die ons bij de Yolo begeleidde, en ik kon de verleiding niet weerstaan om er een paar foto’s van te maken met mijn compact camera. Dat is hier en daar ook terug te zien in de beelden: ik heb de convergerende en divergerende lijnen niet helemaal weg gekregen, maar ik ga er vanuit dat je hier doorheen kunt kijken en de schoonheid van de oude badkamer kunt waarderen.
Last week’s Yoku session Canto Ostinato took place in an old school in Amsterdam. This building is not used as a school anymore, but was transformed into living quarters and studios. I live myself in an old building that used to belong to a hospital so I am familiar with the atmosphere, but in this building lots of original elements could be found like this bathroom. It’s still in use and belongs to the pianist that accompanied our Yoku session. I simply could’t resist to capture a few images with my compact camera. This is reflected in some of the photos: I couldn’t get rid of the converging and diverging lines entirely, but I assume you can see through this and can appreciate the beauty of this old bathroom.
